Dr. Maxim Chumak is a Diplomate of American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery who graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and worked over 7 years as ICU and OR Registered Nurse. He was accepted into American University of Antigua and completed his Medical Doctor degree in 2008. Dr. Maxim Chumak joined U.S. Army in 2010 in rank of Captain and has served as Active Army Reserve physician since then.
Dr. Maxim Chumak graduated General Surgery Internship at Michigan State University in 2009, and Family Medicine residency at Wayne State University in 2012. He has been exclusively practicing hair restoration since 2016. Dr. Maxim Chumak was awarded a Certificate of Added Qualification in the Science of Hair Restoration Surgery by American Board Hair Restoration Surgery ® (ABHRS). He is a voting member and presenting faculty at International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery ® (ISHRS) as well as other organizations dedicated to the research and development of new hair restoration technology.
Dr. Maxim Chumak opened Hair By Dr. Max, Restoration Center in 2016.
His vision was to create a modern, cutting edge technology clinic with a patient centered approach. He is a strong believer that only hair transplant surgeon should perform every part of the hair restoration procedure. That is why Dr. Maxim Chumak takes only one patient per day and personally performs every step of the procedure.
Since 2017 he was continuously designated as Platinum ARTAS® provider based on the highest level of clinical expertise. Dr. Maxim Chumak incorporates the most recent innovations in hair restoration. He actively participates in research and development of robotic technology and serves as principal investigator for Venus Concept® since 2018.
Dr. Chumak is working continuously to develop new technology and devices.
He is involved in many projects including innovative methods of robotic and manual direct implantation, optimized graft storage, electronically controlled environment of graft processing and others. His innovative ideas are implemented during every stage of the hair restoration procedure in Hair By Dr. Max. He is in the process of patenting newer technologies. Dr. Maxim Chumak has developed an optimized system of direct hair implantation which allows to implant much faster than current methods.
Hair By Dr. Max is a designated training site for doctors seeking comprehensive training in Robotic Hair Restoration. Physicians trained by Dr. Maxim Chumak practice in many states. Dr. Maxim Chumak is known for his meticulous attention to every detail and insistence of personally performing every step of the procedure including implantation of grafts.
Additionally, Dr. Chumak received recognition by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery ® (ABHRS), earning a Certificate Of Added Qualification In The Science Of Hair Restoration Surgery.
Dr. Maxim Chumak has served as a US Army physician since 2010.
