HOW PRP WORKS
This 90-minute procedure is simple. It begins with the assistant drawing blood. The blood is then placed in a specialized centrifuge. A two-step process to separate the platelet-rich plasma from other blood elements then takes place. The treatment area is then numbed with anesthetic, and a very thin needle is used to inject PRP and nutrients into affected areas or your scalp, eyebrows or beard.
Take a Sample of the Patient’s Own Blood: The operation requires less than two ounces (between 15 and 50 milliliters). A collection needle is put into a vein in the arm, and the blood is collected in a tiny vial, almost identical to giving blood for a blood test.

Centrifuge the Blood: A centrifuge is a high-speed spinning device. This activity physically separates the solid and liquid portions of the blood: erythrocytes (red blood cells), leukocytes (white blood cells), platelets (thrombocytes), and plasma (plasma) (liquid).

Process and Collect the Platelets: Platelets in regular blood number around 200,000 per milliliter, whereas platelet-rich plasma has up to five times that number. Three to seven milliliters of platelet-rich plasma will be collected in a syringe and given to the patient right away.

WHAT MAKES OUR PRP TREATMENTS DIFFERENT

Our methods of PRP hair growth injections were developed by Dr. Maxim Chumak specifically to address inconsistencies and potentially poor results associated with other PRP administration and preparation methods. The vast majority of clinics do not have any quality control process. In order for PRP to be effective, a concentration at least x5 should be achieved. Without being able to verify proper platelet concentration, plasma hair treatment might not be effective. Hair by Dr Max, Restoration Center is the only facility with an onsite hematology lab to check each PRP sample before the treatment.
In order to stimulate hair growth, PRP needs to be injected precisely into the areas adjacent to the hair follicle bulb and bulge areas where most of the stem cells are located. Traditionally PRP is being injected with a regular syringe and a needle. The method does not allow to control the depth of injection, location and the amount resulting in most of the PRP being wasted not reaching the intended areas essential for hair growth.
We are able to overcome shortcomings by using a highly sophisticated automatic injection device. We are able to target each follicular unit separately delivering a precise amount of activated PRP to both stem cells containing areas of the hair follicle.
